Restoring the D.C. Everest house in Wausau has been a dauntingly exciting undertaking. While some aspects we readily agreed on, such as refinishing the hardwood floors. other projects proved challenging. This is the first time we've owned a home together. Deciding on a color palate became a point of contention. One of us was drawn to cool tones, the other was inspired by vibrant hues. Both of us were convinced of our absolute rightness. Paula Williams expertly guided the process, helping us to balance our conflicting perspectives in a way that respected not only our differing preferences, but also the historic integrity of the home. She selected precisely the right undertones to compliment the original tile and woodwork. We couldn't be more delighted with the outcome.

I lived with a tiny dysfunctional kitchen/dining space for 33 years! Paula was the perfect person to help me transform my space. She opened my eyes to ideas and possibilities that I would never have imagined on my own. Paula listened to what I wanted in my kitchen (storage, work space, accessibility, organization and a pantry) and created a design that gave me everything I wanted and more while staying within a budget. We moved a door so I could have my pantry, took down a wall opening up my kitchen and dining space and created an open and inviting space for my kitchen and dining area. It was too overwhelming to make all the design decisions on my own. Paula guided me through the process working closely with my contractor. Her attention to detail and the addition of architectural features like crown moulding, custom wood trim, fireplace mantle and integrated bookcases , and arched doorways added tremendously to the overall design changes. She helped me choose colors, cabinet design, granite countertops, hardware, lighting, electrical fixtures and trim. I now have a kitchen, dining and living room space that I LOVE and works well with entertaining family and friends. People are “wowed” when they see my new living space. Paula totally transformed my house into what reflects who I am and now my home is welcoming and inviting to my family and friends as a gathering place. It is a place where love and the spirit dwell and I will be forever grateful to her for what she did for me.

We worked with Paula on a complete kitchen renovation. Both the experience and the end result was exceptional. During our first meeting, Paula got to know us, how we lived, used our kitchen and entertaining needs. She understood the overall feeling of our home, the need to increase efficient use of storage space, improve task lighting and overall design aesthetics to compliment our open concept area. She understood our needs, style and preferences better than we could articulate them! Paula's attention to detail organized presentations helped the process flow easily. Paula and I worked together on my kitchen which made it more fun for me! Her suggestions and creative approach to kitchen cabinetry layout, selecting materials, lighting, tile and finishing touches made a potentially stressful project run smoothly. For me, being part of the process and having the support and expertise of Paula created a kitchen I truly will love for many years!
